No worries then, as Tom O'Sullivan should be retiring some time in the next 12 months. The reality is that Kerry have serious problems in defence, and Cork will be well able to beat them in the next couple of years. To tell the truth, Tom O'Sullivan retiring would probably help Kerry by forcing them to get serious about finding proper full backs. I could seriously see Tommy Walsh back there in the next couple of years.

I totally agree with you, Atlanger. It's been such a thorny issue for so long now. When Tom O'Sullivan played in his natural role in the corner this year against Cork, it was plain for all to see it was his natural position. He just never made the no. 3 jersey his own since Mike Mac retired. I, for one, can see Tomás Ó Sé calling it a day as well. If this happens, Rónán Ó Flatharta should feel at home on the wing and I think the league is the time to put Bohane in full-back. This leaves plenty of competition for the no. 4 shirt - another countywide cull of the animal defenders should be on the cards.
