I think the hurling championship will be a poor spectacle these next few years.Kilkenny took both their only credible contenders to the cleaners this year. Not only that but they have a fine supply of promising youngsters.Sadly it looks they could do 10 in a row.Its this year that i realised cork and everyone are only in the hapenny place.

10 in a row is a bit far fetched. Only 3 years ago we were the king pins and the rest of the country was wondering what could be done to catch us.

There were some great games this year. Cork V Clare, Cork V Galway, Waterford V Offaly, Waterford V Wexford, Tipp and Clare gave us a decent munster final. With Galway going into Leinster next year I expect we'll have a few more surprises and some very close qualifying games.

It all depends on wheter someone can counter their negative blanket defense tactics.

you cant count tipp out of the credable contenders tag, the set-up of the championship suits kilkenny as well,it is a great advantage for them not having to peak until the semi final.

as sean og said, they have set the standard that needs to be reached next year, like kerry walking the football last year the standard is more level now,

give it 10months and your opinion may well be different
