Assistant boss Steve Staunton added another string to his bow this week when he was handed his UEFA A Licence for coaching.
Steve had been studying hard for the qualification and finally completed the course at West Brom on Tuesday.
"I'm absolutely delighted to get my A Licence," Steve said.
"It's a weight off my shoulders. It's one of those things you are nervous about. You don't want to fail it. You want to do it right.
"It's like getting your driving licence. You do it their way and it's up to you to implement your ideas on how you want the game to be played after that.
"I'm looking forward to getting on the pro licence now."
The former Liverpool and Aston Villa defender joined the club as Gary McAllister's assistant in February.
His previous managerial experience came with the Republic of Ireland, but he says he is more than enjoying the role of assistant manager at Leeds United.
"This is a great learning curve for me to see the day to day running of a big club," he explained.
"I have to say I am enjoying every minute of it. I had a great experience with Ireland, but this is a wonderful opportunity here with Gary.
"I'd like to be part of something big happening here. We all want to see the big clubs back where they rightfully belong, and this is a wonderful club.
Doing an excellent job along with Neil McDonald & Gary Mac.
