Lads,
Just wondering if anyone has links to a few decent video's of some hurling fights. I'm trying to prove to a few yanks how tough the sport is. I've searched YouTube but there is mainly shite on it.
The one I'm thinking of specifically is a Cork match is Killarney a few years back, probably against Tipp where there was a huge fight that spilled into the dugouts.
There was another huge fight at a Cork minor/U21 football game a few years back as well. The teams were coming off the pitch and all hell broke lose. The Police had to get involved to break it up!
Any help would be appreciated.

To be honest you wouldn't get nearly as much fighting in hurling as you do in football..
That could be a tricky one

Why not highlight the skill and bravery of the game rather than promulgating a stereotype?

Go away ya Langer probably the most skillful field game in the world.Definately the fastest ball sport, and you want to bring it down to
fighting. How old are you twelve. Did you watch the all Ireland final or even
the semi with Cork, yes we lost but by Christ was there some skill shown
by both teams. I would suggest sitting them yankey pricks down and showing them that game.If its fighting you want to watch there's pleanty knacker fights on dowl u tube.

Leave him off lads, he said yanks. To them field sports = fighting/hard hits , just as motor sport = big crashes.

Thanks for the one constructive comment.
There's no point pointing out the skill of a game to some morons who think rounders is a professional sport it there?.
The discussion I was involved in was about the "toughness" not the "skill" of a game. Some Moron posted a fight from a Hockey match, and another from a LaCross match.
I've seen plently of fights at hurling matches and was trying to show the "toughness" involved.
And no, I'm not 12.

Why don't you get clips of guys playing without helmets and getting shunted in the rubs with the top of the hurley, or guys putting their hands in where some wouldnt even put their huley.
Why do you have to show fighting to show toughness, I'm pretty sure there's been fights in lawn bowls like ;)

I've never seen a decent fight in the Combined rules games. I've seen plenty of Aussies kicking shit out of some lad who thinks he'll have a lash. The ozzies are in the gym 24/7. They're massive! It's a little embarrasing watching the lads trying to have a go when they clearly can't win. Leave it out and play a bit of ball. At least we're a slim chance in that department.

Ya, the clips of the Irish lads getting their asses handed to them in the combined rules is cringeworthy.

one picture of Mullane pulling on Conor O'Brien should do the trick.

what about Cork Vs Clare from '07 when the two teams ran out thorug the tunnel at the same time for the throw-in and all hell broke loose. Cork beat all sorts of shite out of them then in the game itself but Sean Óg, Sully and Donal Óg were hauled in and suspended for a match.
