Maybe he could have put pay to the stupidity of last nights after match comments
"If United lose Sunday the league is gone...."
I mean c'mon like, 4 games in

How many times did they talk about a game between Celtic and United last year, when no such game took place?
And Joanne Cantwell pronouncing Steaua Bucharest as 'Stoya'... go back to 1986.
Poor old Jimmy Magee calling Valeri Lobanovskyi 'Lobanoskaya'... but to be fair, at least he can play the senile card in his defence.

So's Garrincha.
I wouldn't want to have him commentating though.

Neither would I, considering he died in 1983..the commentary would be nearly as boring as Jim Sherwin....
BTW, do you have to ask permission these days to go to City games :)

I'm a bit meh anout the Champions league until they get down to the proper business of knockout, Bill must have the same view as me.
I'll watch a game if I'm at home but I won't go out of my way if I have other stuff on.
I think the group stages can't be a bit boring from a my point of view as a neutral.
