and not a single protest from any athlete against the regime.
Shameful.
I was just watching the BBC the other night and they were covering the story of two frail, old Chinese ladies who had protested over housing rights and were being sent to a labour camp for "re-education" as punishment for their heinous crimes against the Great Leader.
It's absolutely sickening that such an evil bunch of thugs were handed such a massive propaganda coup and it all went off without a hitch and without a peep from anyone competing. Admittedly, pretty much every national government were also too spineless to say a word, but still I would have expected at least one athlete with a conscience to stick a fist in the air at a medal ceremony or wear an Amnesty International t-shirt or something.
