The Hurlers used to have the same socks but that changed in 06 for some reason, not sure why. That's the best I can give ya, maybe megatron has more info on it

Whatever about the reason behind it I think it should be stopped. I was at the U-21 hurling game against Clare recently & you had the likes of Pa Cronin, Paudie Sull & other seniors wearing the hooped & Ross Cashman was wearing the all red ones. Thought it looked a bit of a joke to be honest & its the same at all levels.

Personally I think the plain red ones should be worn. I just think they look better.

i dont know myself and i have never asked about it,but next few days i'll have an answer, interesting though, guaranteed something rebellious
