Believe me that will be in the headlines one of these days. Humans are not capable of running that fast without steroids. Simple as that.
The other day London's Daily Mail asked Johnson, stripped of that gold medal 20 years ago, if he thought today's top sprinters were still doping.
"How shall we put it to avoid being sued by everybody?" Johnson said. "OK, virtually all the big names, the winners, the stars all the fans come out to see….they're on drugs. Nothing has changed as a result of all the controversies, because without steroids it's not humanly possible to keep producing the performances."
Just because Johnson, a drug cheat who got caught on the biggest stage there is, says it doesn't make it gospel. But: There are seven guys who have run sub-9.8 in the 100 meters. Three of them * Johnson, Tim Montgomery, Justin Gatlin * have been caught doping. And Maurice Greene was named this year by a steroids trafficker who offered in court a $10,000 wire-transfer receipt as proof that he provided Greene with drugs.

change the title of that thread you spa.
innocent until proven guilty, and just cause a cheat is throwing stones from his glasshouse doenst mean hes right, just cause thats his opinion doesnt mean its true, and there are loads of reputable former athletes that have said hes not doping so is it possible that johnson is tyring to justify his cheating
and change the fucking title dickhead, the guy won gold and claimed a world record, fair play to him you fucking begrudger

I find that word highly offensive. More to the point wouldn't it belong to someone who posted the comment below in the Drugs in the GAA thread??

i reckon you will do well to tell me the name of a current GAA player that smokes fags, and dont put alcohol into this arguement, thats not illegal and if a player is gonna have a few pints, or get legless celebrating of drowning his sorrows after training all winter there isnt much you can say about it cause the rest of the country is at it every weekend

whats wrong with that, and spa is a perfectly good term to use on someone who puts that title on a thread in a cheap effort at someones expence to get publicity for his thread

All of those guys- Greene, Johnson , Gatlin , Christie , Denis Mitchell etc all became visibly more muscular at later stages in their career when they should rally have been fully developed. Of all the recent olympic winners, only Donovan Bailey is the only one that hasn't benn linked with doping, and conincidentally is by far the leanest of all those guys
Bolt, and even Powell have much more natural physiques at present and are just naturally phenomenal.
Johnson's probably right in one sense , that without some sort of performance enhance drugs , it would be hard to continue this sort of level of performance and physical stress right throughout their career. maybe this might be the reason that Powells performances have dipped slightly this year.
You can never be sure that any of these guys are clean, and only a fool would categorically state that Bolt is , but all the signs would suggest that he is. Let's hope so anyway

If begrudgery was an Olympic sport we would be guaranteed Gold,Silver & Bronze.
Still though he actually took his feet off the gas coming up to the finish line and could have actually demolished the World Record.
That was odd I.M.O.

keep breaking it incrementally over a longer period of time -> better sponsorship deals, appearance fees and prize money over longer period of time.
Or go all out, smash it completely and never get close to it again.

The Sergei Bubka approach . That was ny initial reaction.
There's money to be made breaking WR's on the Grand Prix scene, there's only glory to be gained at the Olympics. He's got the best of both worlds

John Treacy from the O.C.I. now on radio saying to a reporter as to why no medals yet John question replies " The effort and commitment at these games of the Irish athletes is second to none and they give 100% etc"
Its way more than second John.
