Does anyone think that there is. I would say that there is. Is there even random drug testing done?

Just because they are tested doesn't mean they are clean. The cheats will always be one step ahead of the testers.

innocent until proven guilty, maybe there is but do you think the players have the money to be paying for it, arent these drugs expensive?
im not saying they arent doing it but has anyone ever been caught.
and the word drugs covers a lot of things, not all of which are illegal what do you mean, creatine, roids, supplements, epo, beta blockers?

So what exactly are you saying here? The reason nobody has tested positive for performance enhancing drugs is because they have developed elaborate methods of cheating the testers?
There is a much simpler explanation ...

Supplements are not drugs they are food supplements - the clue is in the name, creatine is a supplement for creatine (a nuturally produced substance found in red meat)
As regards this question id say recreational drugs are more rife in the gaa than performance enhancing but no douth there are some individuals taking performance enhancing drugs

I would be surprised if there weren't a few footballing mullockers up the country on something, but for the most part, I think the only drug most gaa players are on is alcohol.

so what do you mean by recreational drugs? that covers a broad spectrum
drugs that do not enhance performance on the field!
Alcohol, cannabis and coke for example but in the previous statement i would not include alcohol because id say thats a given in most circumstances

where did i say most
id say most enjoy a drink yes, maybe not in the league or championship season but definitly in the off season.
I said recreational drugs are more rife than performance enhancing drugs. You mean to tell me that there is no inter county player is using recreational drugs? There is use in all walks of life and in all sports, gaa players are no different.

based on what, you tell me one GAA player ever that has been caught with any illegal drug ever. i reckon you will do well to tell me the name of a current GAA player that smokes fags, and dont put alcohol into this arguement, thats not illegal and if a player is gonna have a few pints, or get legless celebrating of drowning his sorrows after training all winter there isnt much you can say about it cause the rest of the country is at it every weekend

I know personally two (current) intercounty players who have smoked hash. Admittedly this was very sporadic i.e. drunk at a college party. I know another who took some pills.

It doesnt matter if anyone was ever caught or not, my arguement recreational drugs would be more rife in gaa than performace enhancing. last time i checked alcohol was a recreational drug, just because its legal means nothing in that case cannabis is not a drug in amsterdam.
As far as i know the initial question asked about gaa it didnt mention intercounty so i can name a lot that smoke fags as regards inter county i dont stalk them.
