Great stuff....in fairness if we could get one or two medals in the Boxing, added to Rheinisch and Bree's performances and have a decent run in the athletics - O'Keeffe make a final, Gillick, Hession and Derval make semis it would represent a good return from the Games...

Be nice alright not to be totally disillusioned after its all over ...still the boxers represent our best chance so best of luck to all of them

John Joe Joyce is out after drawing 11-11. He lost because he had a public warning (very harsh by the ref)awarded against him in the first round which left him 5-1 down. Great come back but not enough due to the warning.

Very harsh on Joyce yer man came out all guns blazing and he did well to keep his cool and take it steady.

Poor lad must be disgusted.
