Was just wondering if anybody has ever managed to connect to a human being using the Driving Test Center locall 1890 40 60 40 number or the 096 78290. Been calling these numbers for two months solid and as of yet have never succeeded in talking to anybody.
Most of the time I just get an engaged tone and the number hangs up.
I even rang Cork Country council and talked to a supervisor about the problem, I was assured my complain would be addressed asap, of course haven't heard anything back which doesn't surprise me.
Really want to sort out some details for a driving test. Is anybody else having the same problem?

Ask your driving instructor for a number, they actually have different numbers to use,as the instructor i had for my bus licence gave me a different number to use other than them two.

Or get onto your local politician, they will sort it within a day.

had the exact same problem myself, got through to them eventually on friday at around 3pm, they threw me on the cancellation list and i have a test in no time - but this followed a month of exactly what you just described - fuckin arseholes

the private set-up is way better, you could reapply to them instead and they will answer the phone and deal with you immediately

Honestly,as i was doing my test at the end of March for the bus licence and the test was abandoned half way through it as one wiper failed to work when it started raining, they said it would be June before i got retest, rang local politician, had it two weeks later.
