Having seen off the Kerry Mingebags the footballers have now only three hurdles to jump before a first All Ireland since 1990. Too long brethern, Too God Damn Long.
With the hurlers apparently taking a lot of inspiration from last Sunday's amazing comeback by the footballers and the simple if almost menial task of disposing the Dub's reduced to mere formality by the fact they're utterly demoralised by the heart breaking loss to those Men Of Iron: Wexford, we could be on our way.
The hurlers should and when they win on Saturday will be out again the following weekend V Galway/ Waterford. Then you're looking at a probable Quarter Final against Wexford.

After that as they say anything can happen!

I'd prefer Waterford in the quarter assuming we get there. we need to break Dublin first though. we'll talk about doubles and shit after Saturday night.

Yep most def..
I was in Belfast for the Galway Antrim match and got a good look
at them up close.
They're playing for places big time.
And Loughnane has them super fit as you would expect..
Plus throw in the two Cannings who weren't there last year and
you have a different team really.

Definitely prefer Waterford. They'll be dangerous too though.
If we had beaten Tipp we'd have had Calre to play to get through to an
All Ireland semi final.
We blew that one bigtime

it's gonna take a hell of alot more than that for the hurlers to be challenging.

I thought that the game against Galway / Waterford should we get there will be the Quarter Final ?

btw what price are Cork to do the double now with the bookies ?

I think we have a genuine chance in both this year. It would definately be better to get Waterford if we beat Dublin, let Galway beat Kilkenny and we'll beat Galway in the final again. I'm hoping Tipp will flop in Croker.

Season is really hotting up now...Dublin tomorrow evening, Hopefully Waterford to follow week after (surely Thurles) and God knows what could happen should we get through that...

My only fear for the footballers this year is the 5 week wait til QF now...I think Conor C has redressed the 'Nemotism' (Nemo favouritism ) that would have been one of my very few issues with Billy Morgan....

Here's hoping for plenty more action this summer for both anyway...the result last sunday seems to have washed away a lot of the depressing negative vibes beforehand that our summer could be over in July...

5 Nemo players either started or came on last sunday. I doubt if that ever happened in the ch'ship under Billy Morgan between 2004-2007, despite the fact that Nemo won the county 3 times and their intermediates won it twice during that time.

This 'Nemo bias' thing is a joke frankly. They are 1 of the best club teams in the country, their players know how to win & they have some very good footballers also. Of course there should be a good portion of them involved in the Cork team and should be the case as long as they're the best team in the county.

As pointed out by my esteemed colleague there were in fact 5 Nemo lads playing at one stage last Sunday.
Derek Kav, James Masters, Sean O'Brien, Brian O'Regan and Paul Kerrigan came on at the death.
It would never have happened under Billy because Bily would have been accused of having too much of a Nemo bias when picking the team.
The fact that they're by far and away the best club side in the country {despite the best efforts of Joe McQuillan -Cavan Referee extraordinaire} means that they should have a decent represantation every time Cork play as pointed out very correctly by another of my esteemed colleagues.
The hurlers lack a lot of momentum at the moment and spirit and mood in the camp is meant to be low.
But one good win over Waterford could shunt them right back into it again.
Galway I would much rather avoid until later.

And if Cork win on Saturday along with Limerick who should beat Offaly handy then we'll have Galway and Waterford in one hat and Cork and Limerick in the other. That draw is on the Sunday Game Live around 6PM straight after the Munster Hurling Final.
Then those fixtures [even though Croke park haven't said it yet} will take place the following Saturday as part of a double header in Thurles.
So for example if it'll be Waterford V Limerick [5pm] and Cork V Galway [7pm].
No more chances, no more back door, do or die, season finishes for, whatever about Limerick who aren't great really this year, one from Cork, Waterford, or Galway will be back playing club hurling from Saturday July 19th.
Can you imagine not even seeing August with the hurlers lads?
Frightening!!!
