Saw on the American Airlines website that you can fly to New York from Cork via Heathrow for €480 in December. Way better value than going with anyone else.

Yeah your bags checked through and all. You just change Terminals in Heathrow. You fly with Aer Lingus from Cork to Heathrow and return.
