Limerick can not be a bad team as they very nearly beat Cork a few weeks ago

physically very strong, will not be blown off the ball easily. some fine forwards who will run and work all day, but a bit suspect at times when they come under pressure.
If I was to pick a shock result from the qualiiers this weekend, a Limerick win would be it.

Bugger.
Was hoping for more along the lines of - ah no, they are shite, Meath will beat them handy......
The games are the weekend after this if I am right.
Then another match the weekend after for the winners.

I can't see there being too much between the sides. Have ye all yer karate kids back from suspension now?

All the players are back. There are four back from suspension that were not available for Wexford. And two or three that were injured for that game.
If you were to compare what happened in parnell park that day to a movie I would be thinking more along the lines of sex and the city for the handbags. How on earth all those suspensions came about is beyond me. There was one 'third man in' (bernard brogan)and one proper punch (C. Whelan esq.). I agree that the Meath lads shouldnt have baled in to the gang but eight weeks for jersey pulling..
Should be an interesting game.

just out of interest, is there much work being done in Meath to develop hurling at underage?

I honestly dont know.
There are a few strongholds in the county, but I dont know anything of it yet.
I have a wee 7 month old girl who will be steered towards camogie when she is fit for it so I might know a bit more then.
I dont think Meath are involved in that twinning programme for hurling counties...

as far as I know, that's between Liam McCarthy and Nicky Rackard teams, Meath are in the Christy Ring. I know there are a few strongholds alright, which is why I was wondering if there's a development plan in place ala Carlow and a few other counties.

We might meet ye again :-)
Was at it and the sense of disbelief amongst Limerick support was palpable throughout secondhalf.
I know the four goals flourish by Meath Looks bad and had shades of the Cork Game about it, but I suppose it is hard to keep your focus when you are beating MEATH in football by 20 points!
Anyway two injuries aggravated that they could do without but I think they are shaping up nicely, will depend on next draw.
Had them at 4 to 1 but would have loved to know what the spread price on them was. Meant to check it I presume that was the place where a real fortune could have been made.

I'd say the spread would have been a great price but I wasn't being greedy.
Always nice to hear of Meath losing too (sorry Heeairo)
