View Full Version : Kerry Sour Grapes!

I am astounded by the level of bad feeling and sour grapes from Kerry fans since Cork beat them yesterday. In Pairc Ui Chaoimh yesterday after the match a few stupid comments were made by fans but I took no notice as I was well able to comment back and I put it down to shock on their behalf. But out in town last night I was talking to two ignorant seperate Kerry fans. The first fan said Dara O Shea and Mark should both not have been sent off. He also said that Kerry lost because of the ref and because "Cork wouldn't leave them play in the first half" and "Cork were too physical". I had to remind him that Kerry were way ahead in the first half so it would have been impossible for Kerry to have lost it in the first half. And too physical - don't make me laugh. Dara as always was catching players (Pearce O Neill) up by the throat and just throwing his weight around in general. As was that other knacker Donaghy. And I was right in front of Mark O Shea when that collision happened and it was bad and it certainly looked intentional from where I was. The second fella I was talking to would not even have a conversation but just said we were scum (if anyone played dirty yesterday it was Kerry so I cannot understand comments like this) and that they will beat the shit out of us in late summer. I just said that I don't think Kerry will make it through the qualifiers so that they wouldn't even get the opportunity.

All in all I suppose my point is is that when I hear fu**ers like that it reinforces my logic behind hating them so much. Sour Grape, sunshine supporting gobshites with no clue of anything!

I'm sure you were, diar. Especially when terms like 'knacker' and 'gobshite' are to the fore in your vocabulary. Fair play to you! :D

The Kerry team didn't wait around for the presentation of the cup either, which I think is bad form.

For your info they were the words used by your crowd. If you read all of the passage I'm sure you would have understood that! Dara O Shea is a knacker tho!

A disgrace but doesn't surprise me in the least hence the title of the thread.

For what it's worth, diar, I'd say the two young fellas you were chatting to were more than likely winding you up; acting the ignorant thickos to get a reaction is one of our fortés. Sure Pat is great at it! :D

"Star " always goes missing in big games (Basketball,GAA) when it is tight or anyway physical bully boy is a better name for him.

Did you see he did a mirror image of what Galvin did with the refs notebook only to the ball in the refs hand! Must be a new trademark of Kerry football!

They weren't young and they weren't winding us up! One of them actually had a bouncer tell him he had to calm down or get out because he was getting so hot under the collar! Are ye always that bad in Kerry when things don't go your way? Like spoilt children aren't ye!

Judging by the amount of exclamation marks, I gather from your tone that you're the one getting hot under the collar...:D

Force of habit when I am talking to a Kerry native really. I always find I really have to emphasise what I am saying when talking to a Kerry man or woman because of the language and intelligence barriers.

That's a disgrace. I reckon you should ring Joe Duffy tomorrow to highlight this scandalous behaviour. Down with this sort of thing!
