Surely lessons from history in sport have told us that nothing is a foregone conclusion; there is no dead cert. With that in mind I would like to announce that I think the Cork footballers will win on Sunday!!!
Surely Hollandgate, the scrape-through against Limerick and the memories of last year's All-Ireland final will provide the catalysts for one of the shocks of the sporting summer.
C'mon the rebels!!!!

3/1 - if you're a gambling man.
I would love to see us win on sunday, I really really would. But the realist in me can't see it happening.
call me mad, but 12/1 for Wexford is worth a small wager, they have a manbeast (Banville) at full forward, Slasher Hickey is out at Full back and so is Shefflin probably

Was ahving this argument with a lad in work yesterday, he reckons wexfrod are worth a punt. Can't see it myself. They were atrocious against Dublin the first day. I think Kilkenny will annihalate them.

there's a lad in our club with parents from Wexford who's convinced they'll beat them. I can't see how, even with Hickey and Fennelly out. Kilkenny have introduced fresh blood again this year, Dalton and Reid stand out for me. They have options second to no other team. Cover in all areas of the pitch, and a manager ruthless enough to make changes immediately when needed.
Can't see anything other than Kilkenny winning by more than 6. Wexford might put it up to them for 50 minutes, maybe.
Cork are 3/1 in some places for the game this weekend, if anybody wants to bet with their heart.

I know, I know. Usually I'd agree with you, especially in a Wexford/Kilkenny game.
Not this year though.

You are mad! I don't think they have a hope in hell, I wouldn't even back them to beat the handicap.
But then again, what do I know? There is a reason that I'm not a gambling millionaire yet!

3/1 is happening if the Pairc resembles something like a bog in the winter on Sunday. Will be checking Met Eireann closely.
As for Wexford I think they havent a hope.

Met Eireann:
There will be scattered showers and longer spells of rain over the country on Saturday night, and into Sunday morning. Sunday will be a wet day, with widespread rain and heavy downpours, particularly in the southwest. It will feel quite cool on Sunday, with temperatures only in the mid teens, in the fresh to moderate northerly winds. The rain will die off overnight.
RESULT!
