theres not really and its all tied into the nasri deal.
it hasnt gone through perm yet. theres been fierce drama over it because they wanted to do the arfa deal before the 1st of july and the nasri deal after the 1st of july for tax reasons. but now lyon are claiming that the deal aint done yet nasris number has been given to arfa and pics etc uploaded.
when arfra is officially 100% marseilles, nasri will be unveiled at arsenal.

Not really, it's been on the cards for ages.
Ben Arfa's not really good enough to play for a top Prem/Spanish/Italian side, so there's not really many other places he could have gone.

fair enough. never seen that much of him but there was a lot of hype for awhile.
man city sign jo - again a player i've not see much of, but his scoring record in russia is quite good and he's only 21.

If Kuyt, Pennant or O'Shea can play for big teams i can't see why Ben Arfa can't.
He's real talent, a bit too young and a bit of a prick as well (like most of the new young french generation). 1 or 2 seasons in Marseille and Fergie and Juande will be breaking the bank for him.
By the way, Marseille lost their 1st pre-season game 3-1 vs Istres.

O'Shea's a bench-warmer at United- I fully believe that if the PL allowed 7 substitutes like in most other leagues, he'd be out the gap. As for the other too, they play for Liverpool, who've been derided for the calibre of many of their signings. Ben Arfa would probably be a step up on what's there already, but that's not saying much.

If i'm not mistaken there will be 7 substitutions in the EPL from this season onwards.
Ben-Afra was awful at OT this season.

Hadn't heard of that. SAF and Mourinho have both floated the idea in the recent past. It's an anachronism anyway- like still being on 2 points for a win. Must be changed.
But having a player who to a passable impersonation in several positions is a boon with only 5 subs. With 7, it's less important.
