Those were some great times in fairness. Can't really remember Euro 88 but that must have been up there too. The Cork double had the city buzzing too.

Was in Hospital for Euro 88, But the buzz in Cork during the 2 world cups (90&94) was mental.

Like i was only a young fella back in '90 and '94,even my parents who don't know the first thing about soccer,were feeling the buzz also...

Great days!

And the songs released around the time were great,when i hear them today i still get goose bumps.

Cork double 90 Mulcahy Jimmy Barry Murphy

Euro 88, Italia 90 and USA were magic in fairness...Cork double was obviously big in Cork but not a nationwide thing...Showing my age a bit here but the buzz back in 85 for BArry Muguigan was unreal...remember watching his world title fight from loftus road at home with the folks and the homecoming a few days later in Dublin was unbelievable...
