Would he be a legend if he had killed someone if he had a few in him?
Would friends of the gaa be able to help him then?

drink driving is wrong, I'm not going to defend Teddy Mac.

In this appeal, his brief asked the judge to replace the original two-month prison sentence with a fine as Teddy was self-employed.
Judge Moran agreed and removed the two-month prison term, replacing it with a €750 fine.

He was a lucky boy in fairness. Poor Pointy, he was hoping we'd defend it

Actually, it was at the appeals court, back at the original hearing he was given a jail sentence which he appealed.
He was wrong to do what he did, but he was stopped at Riverstown Cross, and rather than take him to Mayfield which is up the road, the Guard who arrested him took him to Cobh which has no intoxilyser. There is one in Mayfield however.
He didn't get away with anything, he was caught, he has been banned, like any other citizen would be.
If you feel as strongly about drink driving as I and many others do, may I suggest that you sign this petition:

He's a very lucky boy.
Eddie Halvey on the other hand.........althoug h the DPP did drop the charges.
So maybe he was "lucky" too, even though Kevin Walsh died as a result.

Glanmire is under the district of Cobh Gardai though, which is why he was brought to Cobh, and not Mayfield I would think.
No matter, drink driving can never be condoned.

That's typical GAA attitude there. He's not different than anyone else. He should be locked up for two years.

plus goin on the sentance this is not teddys first conviction for drink driving related offences.. obviously he hasnt learned his lesson

He had a clean record prior to this. I know it's a different division, but from a logistical point of view it would have made sense. If he had form there is no way his appeal would have been successful.

these things dont apply to an garda siochana. especially when local supers use results for applications for increased funding.

spoke to a cop who told me judge patwell fires out draconian sentences, which are appealed where a more lenient judge imposes a fair sentence. two years off the road for drink driving is a fair sentence IMO.
However, is it not also the case that teddy is up for some assault charge after the AI last september? Or has that been dropped?
The real issue here is how a man with so many personal problems in his life at the moment could be considered suitable material for the cork football coaching set up. Even leaving aside that fact, we should remember that he hasn't coached football in years, and was sacked by the hurling club he coached last year for being a complete head the ball.
Eddie Halvey and the rugby jocks may be a law unto themselves, but the child focker and wife killer who run the cork county board both have a lot to answer for...........

Arsenal's legend Tony Adams did time for drink driving. No mercy was shown just because he was Arsenal and England captain. To be honest Teddy Mac should do "The Lotto" this weekend!!!

He's a;ways pissed out of his tree driving in Glanmire. He was spotted driving his yellow volvo after coming out of the Sars clubhouse at 3am!!! He's a headcase in the dressingroom too!! Have seen it 1st hand hence some clubs decisions to distance themselves from him!!

I suppose his excuse was that he worked for Beamish & Crawford before.
Terrible stuff that Beamish!
It was "the double" that did it I suppose!!!

Are you sure about that? You might want to be careful, especially when you make wild unfounded statements about named individuals.
