View Full Version : Ronadlo - What would you sell him for

Every player has his price. I hope there's not a United fan out there who honestly believes this lad will be plying his trade at Old Trafford in anything over 4 years time.
But with Madrids consistent hounding, it's lead me to ask, what bid would tempt you to offload him this summer.
purely as a bit of fun.
Poll to follow.

€55 Million + Robinho, Sergio Ramos
Anyone of the offers from this one onwards and United should bite their hand off!!! FFS, the one that includes Casillas would be the coup of the century!

question is when is ronaldos stock at its highest?
has to be close at the moment imo, maybe a strong euros will put another few million onto his price tag.
of the players mentioned in the swap deal only ramos appeals who has been having contractual issues with the club the past 6 months but he still a fans favourite,a fine player who will only continue to get better.
robinho is too hit and miss for me,quality when he wants to be but think madrid have run out of patience,a fit robben will keep him out of the side, dont think he would be suited to the PL,diarra has been a flop and real just simply want to offload.
if united were to sell i would want it to be a straight up cash only deal.

I don't think there is a club in the world that shouldn't take Casillas if he became available.

Top keeper in Europe this season, and in the top three for a long time now.
Would solve a problem for UTD that may prove more difficult to solve than the hole left by Ronaldo, should he leave.

The big money deal. Dont think all their cast offs joining the United squad at once would be the best thing from a United point of view.
Then Fergie could go back & sign Casillas.

lads lets border reality here.
sergio ramos is worth at the very least 25m sterling and robinho is worth at least 20m sterling.
them two players would strengthen man utd more than keeping ronaldo.
if real offered sergio ramos plus 25m then id bite their hand off because.
ronaldo is a luxury item in the current utd team. fergie adjusts formations etc, plays rooney out of position etc and gives ronaldo free role to do what he wants.
ramos is one of the best defenders in the market. better than alves who yere willing to pay 25m for. not only that but hell score 6-7 goals a year and get 6-7 assists. Maybe even more at utd considering how good ferdi and vidic are.
ronaldos price for leaving utd in my opinon is 55m.
anything less than that turn down, more than that bite hand off.
ramos and 25m on say ribery would be way way way more value for money than ronaldo. put rooney back into the centre and start playing 4-4-2 again.

Yup, the Marca fabrication is cash + Diarra + Robinho + Ramos. I don't want Robinho or Diarra, tbh. Ramos is another matter. As for Casillas, even Real Madrid aren't that stupid.
Anyway lads, this is all Marca inspired bull crap. I've been following the story there. They simply cannot afford Ronaldo (they seem to think offering him an Audi is a deal-breaker, FFS), and aside from Ramos (which I don't believe for a second), are offering inferior players who aren't needed.
Fuck 'em.

Ramos is tied into a long term contract at Real, something like 8 years. he is trying to renegotiate a new one. As such, he is being touted around Europe to call Madrid's hand on it.
Agree with Roman, he would be a class buy, and also agree that UTD may even be better off without him. I feel Rooney needs the team built around him so he can really reach his full potential. If they get silly money and good players in return, they should take it, especially as UTD will not sell him if he does not want to go. If he wants to go, then the best of luck to him, no player who doesn't want to stay at UTD should be kept.

utd almost have a complete side to carry them foward longterm
right back, goalie, left wing, striker.
30m sterling & ramos
having a ramos type at the club would be vital. the guy is quality.
igor akinfeev would be a great buy this year to back up vandersar. Think hes the next big keeper say 5m.
they could sign pranjic to compete with giggs and nani say 10m.
then sign a decent foward to mix it with tevez, saha and rooney. even gomez would be worth a punt, but if they wanted to go for huntelar then theyd only need to spend another 10m.

Ben Foster anyone? United dont need a Ramos at the moment either, especially at that money. If Ronaldo stays, which he more than likely will, a striker is all they should be looking for. Having said that they might wait to see if Manucho gets his work permit during the summer and I suppose see how good the guy is aswell!

No point in selling him unless he really wants to go
Where will all these millions go?
Cheaper tickets?
yeah right
To servicing the debt and possibly replacing him with someone not as good (Ribery, Robinho etc)
No point in selling your best players unless they are past it or REALLY want to go
If he does really want to go all the best to him BUT i think it would be silly joining that circus of a club
Check this scenario aswell
next year
Barca with Messi fit and a new manager win the league
Real madrid lose and limp out of Champions league
Ronaldo does well but gets about 25 goals and loses what must surely now be his World player of the year crown to Messi
A step up on 2007 and 2008????
Don't think so
Real madrid is not guaranteed to be a good move
There is nowhere up after United unless you are a Rossi/Forlan figure, it is my honest opinion that he is at the best club in the world right now and should give it a few more years
But noone is bigger than the club and United will flourish either way IMO, though i hope it is with young Ronaldo at the helm

Problem is Ronaldo knows he'll never be admired by the majority of British fans because despite all the undoubted skill his histrionics and cheating do not go down well in the Premiership - ask Drogba.
Even though he's had a crap season they still prefer Rooney for honest if somewhat overheated play.
Which is why I think Ronaldo will go particularly if Manyoo's owners are offered silly money - it is a business after all.

yeah i don't really think the admiration from the Brit fans will matter, he is pretty much caught up in his own bubble anyway
I don't really have a problem with his vanity as he delivers so much on the on the pitch, Rooney is defo more of a fans favourite in many ways (works hard, not selfish, plays for the team) but i doubt the Everton fans will agree
anyway, it will be a long summer, especially for the Engerlund footy press with no euros for them, and i expect this to run and run (and maybe then dive or get tackled really badly and late, possibly winning a free-kick)

It's not a question of vanity - it's a question of cheating and the two are entirely different.
Ronaldo is a great player who doesn't need to cheat but he does.
Don't tell me you're prepared to overlook cheating because of greatness because if you do I'll know you're a typical Manyoo fan talking out of your arse.
It's exactly like Ferguson - great manager but not respected by other team's fans in the way someone like Shankley,Moyes,Venab les etc are and were because Ferguson will lie, cheat and bully officials and referees rather than to admit any blame for his team.

Moyes is more respected than Fergie (new to me)
Good manager but come on now he has a way to go
Venebles can't even get the Irish job such is his rep
Some of Fergies biggest opponents gloss over the often embarassing behaviour and antics of wenger and co
Fergie can be a cunt but he is a United cunt and that's the way i like it
And no, i'm not saying Ronaldo is a saint
But he gets kicked around more than almost anyone and is often no worse than the likes of Rooney, Gerrard, Drogba, Henry and co on the diving front
and he doesn't go hacking down players and never trys to injure his fellow pros (Ashley Co, Thatcher, Gerrard, Essien, our own Roy, Michael Brown etc)
The fact that opposition fans hate him so much is a bonus
This is partly how Fergie has built his success, and the siege mentality he builds is still existing and working

Guess what Stevie baby - this may surprise you but I don't support any team.I'll watch them all and cheer for them all, provided they play good football in the spirit it was intended.
Early season Arsenal played superb football but drifted away and the remainder was a great tussle between the top two that went to the wire - what more could you want in a season.
I just don't like cheats, divers or whingers. ... all the top teams have them but I just think Manyoo are led from the top in that respect.

Humour vacuum considering you took it so seriously but research tells me that's the style of your show on Cork's least listened to radio station.
PS: Or people who jump to conclusions.

A. You obviously are such a sad individual that you feel your life isn't complete without " supporting " something although it's quite clear your shoulders are supporting a fairly empty cranium. It is possible to comment on a team without being for or against them - it's called an opinion and they're normally found on internet forums. If you are having trouble understanding this
I will talk in big letters.
B. Precisely my little village idiot - which is why when I say I cheer on all teams that naturally includes Manchester United. How could you not applaud a team who have won the Premiership and Championship League.
But here's the rub and I'll whisper this one in your ear not everything they do is wonderful There now,I gone and spoilt it for you haven't I ?
C. Don't have the time to re-wind every Manchester United game from my personal video collection but if you think Ronaldo doesn't go to ground easily and try to get players booked ( yes, that's cheating ) you really are an idiot savant.
Bring it on fool.

Simple really.
Play by the rules.Don't attempt to intimidate match officials.Don't complain about pitch/referee/ball/linesman/fourth official/tea lady/programme seller etc etc when you lose a game.Don't institute a lifetime ban on speaking to the BBC simply because they have the temerity to investigate the activities of your son who is a football agent.Try not to get involved in a fight with ground staff from another team who are trying to do their job.
Most of all try to act with a little dignity and the same grace when you lose a game as well as win.
It's all terribly old-fashioned,I know, but it can be done.Try looking at the manager of this year's FA Cup winners .

He goes to ground easily, ...we all know that. Most of the flair players do.

Did you applaud any of these?

Okay - put thes two bits together and think about it.If you dive ( go to ground easily ) you are by intent hoping for a foul to be awarded against another player which is generally called cheating.
Is Rooney a flair player ? Does he go to ground easily ?

Strachan respects Ferguson, they don't get on but he respects him.
McGrath said Ferguson made completely the right decision, and has no problem with Ferguson, ...feel free to locate any quote as to otherwise.
McGrath was the one with the problems.
Ince, ..wasn't implementing instructions on the pitch in the end, a footballing decision to sell for a profit of 6 million. (allegations that Ince wasn't showing the best grace to younger players at the club)
Stam, undermined the bosses position in public, ...sold for a profit, ..in a football decision that didn't work out.
Yorke?
Beckham, ..correct decision, a footballing decision. sold because he was becoming a twat. (i.e. he was losing decency).

But obviously the ones in 2003 and 2005 where he was found guilty still stand.
I mean a 10 Grand find and being banned to the stands is hardly serious punishment is it.
But then,of course, the FA fell over themselves to allow Manchester United to be the only team never to compete in the FA Cup because of a more important game elsewhere.
This was probably one of the most disgraceful episodes in football and reflected badly on the FA and United.
Unfortunately it also permanently debased a great cup competition.
You gotta love Carlos Queiroz! ..this is the interview of the season.

"They already did the same with Christopher Columbus, and it now seems they want to naturalise Cristiano Ronaldo. Have they already forgotten what we did to them in the past? We will never lose our patience."
"It's being done in a manner to distract the Portugal team, at the height of their preparations for the European Championships,"
"But I am convinced that despite pressure from the Spanish sporting press he will not accept to change his nationality.
"However, it is an attack with a well-defined strategy and Portugal should be worried about that."

top class.
once in 11 years hes refused to talk to the media after a game.
once.
i reckon taking man utd and arsenal fans out fergie would win the cuntish stakes a million times over.
how many times has fergie publically fallen out with players, media, had rants on tv etc. wengers most famous one and he was 100% wrong was pardew. he will retract stuff when he feels he was ott like the martin taylor tackle etc.
10times the cunt? heh heh heh. top class.
Ya like Fergie has squared up to managers on the touchline in the past like Wenger has done with Pardew & Jol just because his teams conceded goals.
Shur also wasnt it Fergie who claimed players should be banned for life for high tackles yet defends his own players red card for the very same offence weeks later.
Or remember the day Fergie decided to let his players fling food all over opponants after a first defeat in 50 league games.
As for falling out with players I'd rather have a manager who falls out with players because he's prepared to make tough decisions than a guy who lets players move on when the player feels like it even if they are past their best & the club suffering as a result.

And Baggio and Baresi missed penalties in a World Cup final.
Your point?
Ronaldo is a cock.
That's my point. As much of a cock as John Terry.

and Rafa acted the hypocrite after Mascherano's sending off at OT this season. Yet Fergie is the one labelled the bully.
