The SFI are crucial to this forum whether you like it or not. Also the reaction of some in relation to rugby, United, Sunderland and the SFI's their views on those subjects makes this place light up like a mofo on occasion.

The problem with questioning someone intellect is you've got to have your facts right first.
Semi-formed should have a hyphen which means the " F " would no longer be available to use in SFI.
Just a minor quibble,I know,but you really mustn't question intellect unless your post is as safe as houses and not just semi-detached ones.

I personally think the SFI are a bunch of wankers, but lets call a spade a spade. I think the sports forum would be a dull ould place without them. For instance the last two weeks, with Man Utd, keano, Munster, etc,etc.. what other enjoyment would some people have gotten on here if the SFI were not around. I love haveing a good rant with them. I gave my 2 cents worth already over the munster issue but I left it at that. I think they realised they had a bad few weeks but could you imagine if they just left? As much as it kills me to say it I hope they never leave. Sure they can be annoying at the best of times but isn't it better than having nobody to have and argument / debate about a sporting event.

I agree with the SFI(by which i mean POL and Lamps; I'm not sure who else has been initiated) on most things but as a Spurs fan there is a part of me that would love to see them write Tottenham off for Champions League qualification this year. At times their wrongness knows no bounds.

They'd like everyone to support the particular sport from local club level up. To have played part in that sport until age, injury or lack of ability forced them to become supporters. That your father and your fathers father played it too.

Sadly thats never going to happen. But they'll keep hoping all the same. Dreaming of the sports forum utopia where informed debate is the order of the day.
