From youtube, you just search the name of a comedian you like, then you copy there joke, change a word here and there, and then fiegn shock when someone points out the glaring similarity between your joke and the that of the comedian what you robbed the joke from... works a treat, either that or I get mine from stories from friends or family and expand on it....

It depends on the comedian, some will take material from their own personal life, which is best as it works out as being original. Some will watch the internet scoring for obscure stories, others just watch people and listen to conversations. I normally lock myself in to a room with some Devils lettuce, a bottle of Brandy, a copy and biro, stay out of my skull, and write everything that comes to me. You would be really surprised at the shit that goes through your head in that state, that is of course if you can actually understand your own writing.

legendary stuff there pudgee. really good joke. the best bit is that he stole two comedian's material and then created his own joke to make it his own. now thats irony.

me, i use youtube. what i do is search a comedian's name, then i copy their joke, use different words here and there, and then i pretend to be shocked when another individual points out its likeness to a joke of the comedian from whom you plaguerised...works a trick, either that or i expand on stories from family and friends

Of course if you have money then you can afford to have people write your material for you, best examples are Bob Hope who at one time had 80 (yes 80) writers writing for him, also Robin Williams who had to pay a fortune to his writers in order for them to keep their mouths shut.
