surely not.
as a neutral i'd love it, love it. i could possibly see chelsea only getting 1 or 2 points from their last two games. i could even see west ham getting a point at old trafford, weak as they are.
but utd @ a safe wigan, helmed by steve bruce, on the last day of the season?
no.
as an aside, when was the last time the title went to the final day?

look steve, we're still fighting for this title, and they've still got to go to Newcastle and get something...

as a newcastle fan i'm looking forward to the chelsea game. it will give some idea where we really stand. have been doing well recently but have been playing poor sides.
i expect chelsea to have enough though and win 1 or 2 nil.

can see it going to the last day, united should have enough for a west ham side that will surely already be on their summer holidays, and chelsea will scrape a 1-0 up north.
Anything is possible in football.

Think? No. Hope? Yes. I even found myself checking the table after the Chelsea/Man Utd game. I know, I'm deluded.

Don't mention West Ham, at least they're not on the last day.

Ya, I suppose stranger things have happened than both Chelsea and utd dropping points in the remaining two games.
Chelsea have found a bit of form at the right part of the season (though I still stick to my guns that they have been generally dogsh*t all year and remarkably lucky to still be in the hunt). Ordinarily, I'd have thought that Newcastle and Bolton could cause them some hassle but they have their tails up and utd will need to do the job in their remaining two games.
Now the dust has settled, you're still looking at Utd having to win two games they'd be expected to to clinch the title, regardless of what Chelsea do.

ha ha, i knew it. the arsenal fans in the office have started these sorts of whisperings now.
it would be nice if both chelsea and united fail to win their next games. have 3 teams with a chance of winning on the final day. i just can't see the hammers doing anything at OT though.

1996 came to the last day as well, though it required ManU to lose at Boro and Newc to win.

In fairness Legend Arsenal "fell apart" at the wrong time this season.
If, as expected United and Chelsea make a few signings during the summer
Arsenal will still be behind. I honestly think that Arsenal need to spend and
spend well to make up ground on the other two.
Arsenal played some great football this season but the lack of squad depth
was their undoing.
The transfer market during the summer should be very interesting don't you
think. :)
neither would H.G. Wells[/QUOTE]
