View Full Version : Arsenal to secure 4th place?
To all the idiots(SFI) shouting from rooftops when they beat the mighty Milan(lol)
A one man team which will finish trophyless again this season.
The lack of football knowledge on this forum is unbelievable.
There is an Arsenal bandwagon on here to make any one laugh.
Can I please have a list of World class players in the current Arsenal squad.
Here is my list:
1. Fabergas
Thats it folks. Fab. Can an SFI retard please add to the list.

Aren't you the lad who drops in once every two months and calls peoples retards?
No-one wants anything to do with you.
Shut the fuck up you.
Never even been over to a professional football game.
Nobody wants to hear your utter crap.
Come now, I need some more world class players in the current Arsenal squad besides Fab.

Gallas?
Toure?
Fabregas
Gallas
Toure
Van Persie
..would be in with a shout for starters.. but world class is hard to say.
..a few of the other kids, ..the full backs possibly after a while.
This league has a lot more twists to come.
United are very fortunate to be in their present position, ..in their last five games in the league they had horrible performances against Spurs and City (lucky to get one point from those) and were then fortunate to play Newcastle, Fulham and Derby in the next three games.
..Arsenal just taking 4 points out of 12 is an undeserved gift, somehow turning a 5 point deficit into a 3 point advantage.
..sweet, ..that's what a crushing beating can do to a side.
STEVIEG

agree with all of that
Chelsea and Arsenal are still in it
Arsenal ironically will play better without the expectation in my book
They seemed to buckle under the pressure in the last few months every time they went top
Now that one or two are prematurely writing them off they may start to play again
Both London teams have a big chance, as United are a bit all over the place at the minute

Van Persie
Sagna (from what ive seen)

hard to define what world class is but these players would get into nearly any team in the world and apart from that i think they are worldclass players in their own right.

Yeah, as crap as they are, interestingly United haven't lost points since Man City in the league, and even before that Chelsea have dropped points on the same day (Utd v Spurs, Chelsea v Portsmouth)
Chelsea not beating Liverpool when United slipped was a bad result, but they are still to be feared
I hope Spurs can get a point this week but I won't hold my breath
United need 3 points this wednesday and then they are 6 victories away (I think)

Liverpools home form has steadied lately, since about December they are marginally more shaky on the road, but overall thay are on a very good run (as they usually are at this stage of the season in fairness)

true and therein lies their title challenge,at the end of the season if the trophy remains at OT arsene may reflect that it was his sides inabilty to do what chelsea are doing that will have cost them the title - that draw at 10 man birmingham could be the deciding factor.
still if they can get van persie firing for the run in alls not lost.

3 blanks against United, Arsenal and Liverpool (excluding CC).
The only game so far where they've met expectations in a big challenge was the Valencia away game in the group, which was a big performance.

It's incorrect
They won straight away when they came back (one of their best performances) and they won more or less everything in the league since the City and Spurs fuck ups (in fact, they only got a point at Spurs due to not giving up and playing with high energy till the end)
Conveniently mentioning only two games since Saudi is incorrect
Especially as many felt the league was OVER for United after the Man City game
It's all to play for now though, we have a title race and 3 players, people moan about this league all the time, but there is no league with 3 contenders left at this stage, like La Liga last year i expect plenty of twists and turns

Yeah, ...at the time it was accepted as a big result. And was a definite boost to Grant at that time.
..to go the ground of one of the greatest leagues in the World and turn them over is no bad thing.
..but it's all about Wednesday and next Sunday for Grant now.
For me, the nil-nil at home to Liverpool where they were outplayed was the end of Grant, and the most significant result in a weekend of big results.

Quotes?
..do you think there is any difference between the two teams league positions? ..does one not have any advantage over the other?
Arsenal have played 2 more home games more than United, ...and United's home record read something like 12/1/1 ...so the home game in hand is something United generally win.
..but it's an advantage, that game doesn't even have to be won, ...United can lose at home to Bolton and still have the best record in the league.

Yes, widely known fact
His potential has always been very big, to be honest i think he will become a lot better down the line
A constant criticism in Spain was of his performances in the big games, especially against Real. I remember that goal above well, as it was a sign that he was shrugging off these criticisms
I remember him getting a few against Barca too, but succeeding in a team with title ambitions is a bigger achievement (though he might have to wait another year for the pressure cooker of a title race to be on his shoulders)
In the really crucial games where expectations are on Liverpool he will be better set up too, as he has proved in the Porto and Marseilles games, plus Inter away

I stand corrected
a hat-trick next Sunday and it is definetly and most certainly ON!!!!!!!
I think I might have underplayed United's advantage earlier on..
..with Arsenal having played two home games more, and United having played one away game more, (United win 86% at home, Arsenal 75%, Both win about 50% away) ...then in real terms United's advantage is about 3.4 points at the rate both sides are picking up points.
..throw on an extra point for goal difference and you're looking at a 4.3 points advantage in real terms.

heh heh heh.
In real terms this is all bollocks if Utd lose their game in hand. In real terms they're left top on goal difference alone if that happens. On the other hand in real terms they're up 3 with the goal difference advantage if they win. In real terms points are won, not lost. In real terms everyone starts at 0 and counts up, not at 114 and counts down.
In real terms, they have a game in hand and are ahead on goal difference.
