Hardly a fair comparison given Ronaldinho's achievements so far. Ronnie can only be compared to the upper echelon of football greatness now.

Not according to Dunphy anyway, who laid into him during Inters loss at Anfield.

I find it hard to blame him too heavily for Inter's poor showings against Liverpool. Inter's midfield in those two games were far too lethargic and lacking any real creativity. That coupled with having Cruz alongside him means there is far too much burden on his shoulders at CL standard anyway. I'd like to see him playing in a team with more pace and creativity around him. Then I think it would be fairer to judge him.

I'm a bit like Gilsey in that I havent seen much of him but from what I have I think he's been mostly brutal. If he's one of the top strikers in Serie A then Eric Djemba-Djemba was a world class midfielder for United. To think they used to have Weah, Ronaldo, Baggio, Batistuta to name just a few all playing in their league at once. Italian football is in a poor state & maybe Trap might even get our lot to shock them in the WC group.

Were you not giving him praise in comparison with Tevez a few weeks ago? I`d have Tevez ahead of him any day. Zlatans attitude is up his whole. Not a consitent player and never will be. Twice last night he could have squared to Cruz in an open goal position but he went for glory himself from a tight angle, sums him up really.

I dont think anybody is saying he`s shit but he`s not the kinda guy who`s gonna do it for you week in week out, and when the going goes against him the head goes down. Hugely talented player but thats not enough really, his attitude is his biggest downfall IMO.

You're not wrong about his attitude (although I think that's in the past now), but the simple fact is that he has been doing it week-in, week-out for the two years he's been with Inter. He's been off form since the turn of the year, but that's because he's been playing with an injury, one which has gotten worse since the first leg. I was very surprised Mancini picked him last night, maybe it was out of desparation. But before that, he was putting in stunningly good performances, week after week. He's far and away the best player in Italy these days, streets ahead of Kaka- the man who generally only bothers turning up for Champions League games these days, and this season didn't even do that.
Ask anyone who follows Serie A, and they'll tell you the same.

To be fair, he didn't exactly set the world alight in Serie A with Juve either, but maybe that's got something to do with Capello using his physical rather than technical abilities.

cop on man. the guy has been almost the complete opposite of that.
the guy has 30 goals in around 50 appearances for inter.
just googled....30 goals in 48 appearances. my bad.
this season hes started 18 seria a games and scored 15 goals.
hes played 7 champions league games and scored 5.
hes got 10 odd assists.
and hes been "doing" it for inter for 2 years.

yip.....what i like about him is that theirs very few players who can be a "bergkamp" and be a "van nistleroy"
very few players will gladly do either too depending on how his manager wants him.
hes got a bit a of a bad attitude...if he didnt then maybe hed be in an arsenal shirt. who knows hes still young enough to. i know wenger rates him massively as does brady and arsenals chief scout.
shame wenger did ask him to have a trail rather than just snap him up. wenger dont normally get it wrong so maybe it was his attitude he wanted to suss out.

Ibrahimovic is a mixture of everything. Just because he didn't do it on the one or two nights you sat down and watched doesn't mean he can't.
What's Rooney? What was Zola? Cantona? Maradona? Attacking midfielders one and all?
A very fine player. ..I'd have loved to see United pick him up off Juve after calciopoli.
Not the very highest bracket of player, ..but there you go.
..with the likes of Toni, Grosso, Zambrotta and Cannavaro all playing abroad and fewer players going to Italy anymore, the title of best player in Italy has been diluted somewhat. ..and Zlatan was not at his best, but still missed a few shockers.
..still, Inter are a shit team, how does Viera still get a game? Is there any chance the Italien FA can strip Inter of a few of those titles? ..at least suspend the last two.

technically isnt he on the verge of winning 5 titles in a row.
1 ajax, 2 juve and now 2 inter.
not bad for a bluffer.

Still surprised me though... I know he had a great scoring run earlier in the season, but still.
So that's 10 goals last season (more than I thought, but sounds about what you'd expect), 20 already this season. Not bad for a guy where the first thing that would come into your head when you think of him is that he has everything in his repertoire, except the goal-scoring.
