Heard it from a few very reliable sources that O2 have issued the County Board with an ultimatum that if the current crisis is not solved then they are going to have to look at the sponsorship deal. Maybe this might get Frank and the rest of the Reich to come to their senses when the money disappears from under their noses.

Anyone know how the negociations went over night? Nothing on any of the news sites.
When you stop and think about this, the players who are in talks all night have to go and do a days work today.
I couldn't do it... Ametuar me arse. They deserved everything they can get for wearing the red jersey of Cork.

It is an honour to play for the team and be on the board of management of your county, be it as a paid member or amateur. This situation has gone out of control and the GAA should give an ultimatum - either play for the team and manage the county board properly or get kicked out of all competitions for the season! i.e. no money coming in for the board and a year gone off a player at his and another All Ireland missed out on.

They already have. Try to keep up.
Cunty Board have a lot more to lose from the sponsorship. If Cork dont play in the league or more importantly the championship jersey sales will be way down and thus o2's brand exposure greatly diminished. It wouldn't make sense for them to blindly continue.
Apparently a lof of compromises were made last night after 9 and a half hours of negotiations but there was still no agreement this morning. Think they have to give the GAA a decision on whether they'll play KK by 11am. They still have another week though. If they dont field a team against Waterford or Meath that's it as far as I know. Hpoefully they can sort it out.
