Billy 'The Boy' Walsh is fighting James Gorman for the All-Ireland Welterweight title on Jan 26th in Neptune Stadium.
Could be a good chance for people to support one of their own.

They can go fuck themselves for that kind of money............... .better view from the normal stand in neptune anyway.....better to be looking almost down at the ring.

Its €30-40 a ticket. Ring side is were they make their money and its murder looking up at the fights all night. Its Neptune lads, not Croke Park. Where ever you are you are not going to be too far away from it.
Apparently some of the other fights are really good but i dont know any of the names. RTE, they're Sports Mad, except when its Irish.

Even at that....it's pricey tbh......especially, when none of the fighters involved are known names.......would nearly travel up to limerick to see Andy Lees fight before the neptune one......will have to see though....think about it.

They are All-Ireland title bouts !!!
How much bigger do you want :D These are the guys that could represent us in the next Olympics, these are the guys that would be lining themselves up to go out there.
Its not their fault RTE are a fawking joke. Any fighter who is in an All-Ireland bout should be a household name given the medals we have won in the Olympics in the past (not the drugged up swimmers and horses, the boxers i mean). RTE are a disaster, and remember .... most Irish journalists are monkeys with a spell checker. Its a wonder we know the sport exists ffs.
Dont rely on people telling you what/who/where is good. Find out for yourself. Billy Walsh is a damn good boxer and he'll be batin' the chops of some fella in your own home town, get out there and represent mofo's !!

You know what, you're right.......but I don't think these guys will be eligible for olympics....aren't they pro fights as opposed to amateur.
And as for coverage of sports here.......don't even start me off.....I've trained for years in Thai-Boxing, won a medal in the world amateur championships, been to european championships and also fought for an Irish Title in my weight category. Some guys currently training/fighting and running gyms in Cork are and have been European & World Champions, have dedicated their lives to the sports, and the most any of us got was the odd few paragraphs in the Echo......never even mind any sort of funding or anything like that.
I'll be there alright........fuck sake, I've fought on shows like that enough times to know that the more support in there the better for the fighters themselves!!! And neptune is a great venue for fight events......can be a great atmosphere in there if the crowd is on form and behind the fighters.
