Would Ireland getting slaughtered give you more joy than Arsenal winning the Prem ??
The Arsenal to win the Prem, Germany to win the euros

your highlight could have been Forest to beat Liverpool in the FA cup but mighty Luton crushed your hopes.

I'm still a bit depressed over it. Also, a missed opportunity to bounce a full bottle of Lucozade off Stephen Gerrard's squinty scouse head.

The January transfer window is gonna shape Spurs year I think. They seriously need cover at the back. Defenders who can deal with set-pieces might be a novel idea at White Hart Lane.
I totally hate the c*nt, but robbie savage wouldn't be a bad addition either

I totally hate the c*nt, but robbie savage wouldn't be a bad addition eitherThat would certainly be interesting alright. Failing that, I wonder if Juande could use his influence to tempt Poulsen away from Sevilla.

The word i hear, probably bullshit, is that Spurs are busy trying to tie up another striker (kanoute or Fred or someone, i dunno?) before they leave Berbie go for big bucks plus Brown
Ramos's comments about Berbie having a price would tend to support this, though it could just as easily be utter horsehit
Brown is another player who's value will decrease if he doesn't move soon
If he does go i would be sad see him leave, as he is a proper red, through and through
all of this is probably bollocks mind you

Spurs were unlucky not to get anything from the game though, and indeed nearly levelled at 2-2 five minutes from time when Wayne Brown deflected a Berbatov cross onto his own post while under pressure from Berbatov.

Feckin hell that's useless. Not only do they not know the name of United's Brown but they think Berbatov can run onto his own crosses!

well a few months later and '08 has been great for some.
Spain win Euro 2008, a tournament which was one of the best ever.
Manyoo do a PL and CL double
Portsmouth win the most giantkilling-tastic FA Cups of all time
my own sporting Highlight had to be Spurs beating Chelski in the Carling cup, but Cork's comeback against Kerry was a close second.
and it ain't over yet !!!!

when I started this thread I never imagined I'd be lucky enough to see what I saw in Croke Park last Sunday. Here's hoping we do 'em in the replay. it would go a long way to make up for the Hurlers losing

A good thread in all fairness legend.
My highlights were Man Utd., Munster and Spain winning European titles.
Stuffing Kerry tomorrow would be nice but I'm not too hopeful really!
