as a matter of interest does anyone have clips or full version of that doc "decade of dance- an irish fairy tale" that was on rte in 1998 on any kind of format that could be watched in this day and age??

im sure there was footage of henry's in it..

i remember watching it back then, and always remembered the whole " the further south in ireland you go the deeper and more soulfull the dance music gets, the further north; the more harder and faster" comments about contrasting the different styles of dance music that were popular in different parts of the country..

that damn doc. would have so much more relevance to me now... id love to get a look at it again..

does anyone else remember it??

I just remember Cork getting a typical token mention far short of what it deserved. The "trouble" for Cork was that pioneers like Greg and Shane were genuinely interested in the music and only that.

Half way through the ninties cunts like Mickey Mac and a few techno heads were jumping up and down looking for publicity and RTE gladly gave it to them making them look like the masters. Cork's scene pissed on anything Dublin had to offer which was primarily based on 140bpms and a massive appetite for drugs.

Don't remember any Henrys footage being in it btw.
