I actually don't mind Mayweather that much, good entertainment value. I'd like to see Hatton win simply because, for me, he's better to watch. I find watching FM boring at times. My better informed and boxing enthusiastic friends tell me to shut the fuck up when I say this, they pretty much all love watching FM. Telling me I know fuck all about boxing, which is true.

My wife went from zero interest to being a seasoned boxing analyst in 20 minutes
One of her friends boyfriends, a big fight fan, fell asleep just as Hatton and Floyd hit the ring, the lightweight fucker:) (if i hadn't been working till 3 ish i would have been the same most probably)

Nope, I'd say it's fairly hardcore though? I understand that those who have started out there and moved to Thailand (where it's better organised and regulated, and massive as a sport) have done quite well. Ditto the Burmese.

hatton is not overrated. he's a tremendous fighter, with great heart. it's just like you said, last night he came up against one of the all time greats. and lost.no shame in that.
he could easily have ducked mayweather, after floyd 'retired', but he didn't. he wanted to test himself against the very best, and for that he deserves credit.
