best league in the world me hole.
Puts the poverty of the likes of ManYoo's and Bumnal position really into the limelight as regards homegrown talent

Carson, Richards, Campbell, Lescott, Bridge, Wright-Phillips (Beckham 46), Gerrard, Barry (Defoe 46), Lampard, Joe Cole (Bent 80), Crouch.
Subs Not Used: James, Ashley Cole, Brown, Hargreaves.
Arsenal will be gutted alright. United strongly represented last night aswell on the bench. Doubt either club will be too upset, summer off for Rio and the boys, Fergie will be delighted.

Its pretty obvious now that the foreigners are the reason for the top premiershit teams doing well. English soccer is on its knees.

look at the top four alone. You'd be hard pressed to get a decent English 11 out of them.

The national team are ...the league itself has some of the best in the world...actually, with no England in the European c'ships next year, Fergie will be pushing harder for the CL as will Rooney, Rio and Gerrard, Terry etc.
Rooney and Terry looked well frustrated last night...must be the ultimate in frustration...

That's Mr. Rooney to you. Or at least to John Motson.

last time england did well was when there were 3 west ham players in the team and 1 of them as captain, so until noble gets a couple more years under his belt, green gets recognised for how good he is (top keeper in the actim stats) and ashton is fit they will still be fuckered, so its fine for the next few years

You forgot Hibs and London Irish. Oh, and Wigan St.Patrick's Rugby league team....
I could be pedantic and mention all the Club and Uni GAA sides there as well...but I won't bother...
I have matured...
