I just 'follow' teams that play good football when Oirland aren't about. Always enjoy watching Portugal, Italy now that they've abandoned calcio, France when they turn it on.

I feel a bit sorry for the Scots, they deserve to be there but got caugh against some of the lesser teams. Other than that though, couldn't give a toss.

I was too young for that tournament to really know what was up

This may suprise you, but i actually cheered Engerlund in 1982

It's the media that i eventually got pissed off with, i don't mind the players and even most of the fans (not the hardcore St Georged up hooly cunt minority though)

Well alright, not exactly calcio, but the old "1-0 will do us mentality"... you know, the one that lost Trapattoni his job, and saw the clubs bomb in Europe from 2000-2003.

'Calcio' is just an easy term.

exactly,can spain finally deliver?

put a few euro on them last week, got 12s,thought it was a bit big, shortened to about 7s now following their win over sweden and englands no show.

Would like to see the Spanish finally deliver on a big stage....

I think Croatia should push on from here and do well ...

The Italians will be hard to beat and while i believe the Germans are not actually as good as we believe they are, they will be there at the business end of the tournament as usual....

catenaccio is the word you seek.

I dunno about that. Italians seem to become complacent if they're one up or if the match is (seemingly)meaningle ss. But ya the Italian league has gotten a sense of urgency,
