after what we had to witness yesterday, the short term future of cork hurling is bleaker than what I had imagined.

Nah...Limerick had their chance this year...might get to All Ireland semi but i doubt ye will get to final again...
We should beat Tipp...mind you, far too soon to be confident about next summer's c'ship...we'll revisit this around next March...

and we'll have county board appointed selectors fighting with the manager and a pissed off panel.
think Naughtons development was badly stunted by the commotion last year with Erins Own.
Kilkenny must be laughin

Effectively Frank has regained control as per the pre strike days. It's going to be a disaster

Does Frank have the balls to be a selector again or is it too soon?
Surely he is too saavy to make such a schoolboy error but with his power back you never know

I'm dreading next summer if I'm totally honest. Even though the Munster Championship is still very competitive & giving us some excellent encounters I feel the standard is dropping.
I'm reading Last Man Standing (again) at the moment which covers the 2004 championship. For me that was a quality year for quality hurling. Last year even though we had great excitement with Cork & Waterford's 3 games & the Limerick/Tipp saga, I feel we got the excitement from errors rather than great skill.
In comparison KK's quality was unmatched & the scary thing is if anyone of their players has a bad day he is liable to be dropped by Cody because of the options they have. No other county can say that.

no chance, he'll simply put some puppets in their and pull their strings in the background. He's a master at this kind of thing, he really is. He'll have his own manager, own selectors, own chairman. Abramovich could do worse than hire Frank to run Chelski
