Discuss. Just read an article in a Spanish paper there where the guy was saying Gerard is like Henry in Arsenal, the Alpha Male. If they sell him they'll be more of a team and basically play better, more balanced stuff. What do ye footie heads think?

Apologies if this has been done in Official thread but I never go into them.

Possibly, ..but I think it's too early to judge at this point. Liverpool will need to assess where they stand as a team at the end of the season, after the heavy investment in a few heads this summer.

After that, I could see a lot of arguments for cashing him in and trying something else. It would need a big reimbursement from Real/Barca/Inter to justify it and would be a big call from whoever.

I can't see it happening for a few years, unless Real miss out on Ballack and go for Stevie Me instead. ...are Barca and Real stupid enough to rely on Fat Frank and Stevie Me rather than other options?
I think Gerrard and Liverpool will hang around with each other at least a few more seasons and roll into the new stadium together no matter what happens on the pitch.

Perhaps Gerrard is getting a little frustrated with the Rafa style and the lack of a title challenge last year and subsequently not pulling his weight, not putting 100% into it ...in which case he would become a liability to the team and need shifting.
..Similar to how Roy, Ruud and Henry were getting frustrated with how things were progressing at their club.
