View Full Version : Spoiled Brat - Alonso.

After reading the WMSC-Transcript yesterday, or at least briefly skimming through it, it turns out the reason Alonso and Dennis are not speaking is because Alonso believes the equal status afforded to him by McLaren, with teammate Hamilton, does not accurately reflect his stature as World Champion. Ron Dennis goes on to say Alonso is reclusive and doesn't really talk to other members of the team.
What a spoiled little shit! Him and Pete Doherty should both get the shit kicked out of them. Oh, and let's not forget James Blunt. I guess that pretty much goes without saying. Am I right?

Nothing wrong with that.

Alonso ahould have known about McLaren's preferred option of having 2 drivers on equal terms before he signed for them.
In many ways the Championship is fucked now because of all the spying scandals in the sport. The best thing for F1 would be for Raikkonen to win all the races left & to pip the 2 McLaren's but that wont happen. If Hamilton wins it then the sceptics will say its because of the info they gained illegally from Ferrari.
I'd also think Dennis would rather be kicked out than see Alonso win the title.

well he has a point. he joined mclaren as world champion to lead them to a world championship. but now that hamilton is equal and driving as good mclaren have dropped him like a hot spud because hamilton will be a marketing dream if he wins it first time out.
It would be the same if they had signed say schumacher and given him number 1 status yet when a marketing dream started equaling him then they favoured the guy wholl make them the most money considering the age, circumstances, skin colour etc.

Where do ye think Alonso will end up next season?
I'd say he's burnt his bridges at Ferrari now, but that would seem to be the obvious choice. I think Raikkonen isn't mentally up to be coming a world champion.

Renault would be his only realistic option but isn't Fisi signed up for '08?
Dennis will want to sort this out though mainly for his sponsorship deal with Santander not to be revoked between losing his main Spaniard & being found guilty of cheating.

They haven't dropped him. They have equal status/support. Alonso's only problem is that he can't beat Hamilton on level pegging, so he wants extra support so he can win. Being the sportsman he is, Ron Dennis refuses to bias against any of his drivers, and Alonso goes into a pout. I'm hoping I will get the chance to flatten him someday.

McLaren have always had equal status for their drivers. Remember Senna and Prost?
Or Hakkinen and Coulthard?
Senna took Prost out and Coulthard took Hakkinen out.
All while they were both driving for McLaren.
Now you've got me thinking about Senna again, and I have to have a cry. The man is a legend.

He'll go running back to Renault next year. To be honest, I wouldn't want him if I was them or any other team. No matter how good someone is, if they bring bad vibes with them, I wouldn't want them in my team.

We're talking about the Alonso here. Don't be so parochial.

Yeah, but no matter what the sceptics say, he would still have beaten a world champion fair and square on his first season. They'll never be able to suggest that's unimpressive. I hope he destroys Alonso in the remaining races.
