Seems to be internet forums and critisim of sporting personalities. Seems ironic to me, when sports writers are making a living off this for years, do they fear internet forums will cost them their jobs?

Most journo's don't have a clue. It amazes me to think that they can get away with the guff they come up with. Saw Martin Samuel on the telly the other day, I mean, just looking at the state of him should eliminate him from writing about any kind of topic involving kinentic activity bar possibly eating.
Is there anyone hear would argue that the SFI wouldn't wipe the floor with almost every jouno out there.
Good jounos.
Humpries apart from Dublin GAA
Con Houlihan.
James Lawton

Yes. Because their 'valuable' opinions are now just a click away on the internet. Before people bought newspapers to read opinions (and as mentioned by gym rat there are still many worth reading) after games but now you also have the option of going online and expressing your own opinion too. I dont comment much as I dont get away with that much at work but I read this place all the time. First place I think of after a match...
you'd get a better analysis of a match or sporting event from the SFI than any paper

Frannos a columnist for me.
Same as Hayes, Spilanne and Pat Dolan.
Would you call Pat Dolan a journalist?

Shaun Custis is another behemoth that's never been near any sort of physical activity.
Cathal Dervan - destroyer of men

Good point.
Carry on.
Richard Williams / Hugh McIllvaney - poncey, articulate.
Joe Lovejoy - overwrought east end schtick, but entertaining
David Walsh - bleeding heart but admirable
Shit - most GAA journos are happy to chrun out parish pump sentimental codswallop. ("he grew up with a hurlin his hand...blah blah.....boring bollocks")
Paul Kimmage - painful shite.
