He is being strongly linked with a loan move along with Graham Kavanagh.

Ah come on now, every time I've heard him speak he sounds down to earth, and a few lads I know grew up with him and say he is bang on !
From what I have seen of him he has it all except for his build. I reckon he will need to bulk up a bit before he is gonna get a look in at Sunderland so he might aswell do it at Leeds where he will get a chance.

Just to let you know that I witnessed a Leeds fan being thrown into the River Trent.
You should have seen the drunk struggling to get out, priceless.

3 club rule would apply here so O'Donovan can't move....

I'm not certain but I think there is an exception for loans. Geoff Horsefield played for Leeds, Sheffield United and Leicester last season.

It's a pity he didn't go to Fulham and I suspect he may be regretting it now. He would have been competing with McBride who's currently injured, Healy and Kamara so would have seen a lot more game time.
I was shocked when he moved to Sunderland despite the obvious factor as they already had 8 or 9 similar standard forwards.

Yes, it's a bit like Alan Bennett heading to Reading, who also have loads in central defence

He obviously bought Keane's spin, he was badly advised. Surprised he fell for it.

It had all the hallmarks an impulse buy, Keane arrived to play City and there hadn't been a hint of the move prior to that. He takes their best player away to his Irish revolution, and throws them a few extra bob in the process. Lovely feelgood factor all round, nice bit of PR for SundIreland, the cross packed out for the only time this season, Small Roy would be looked after by Big Roy. It was a no loose situation for Keane, O'Donovan working out would only have been the cherry on the cake.
He gave his word to Lawie Sanchez and then went back on it.
Keane schooled him well in the dark arts of contract negotiations.
