View Full Version : SunderIreland: A national embarrassment at this stage

Why was Charlie Chawke on Up for the Game talking shite about sending the Limerick Hurlers over for a weekend if they won? what has this got to do with hurling? That this joker was given air time on a hurling programme to use as a vehicle to push his disgusting consortium is a joke. This SunderIreland thing is the epitome of Celtic Tiger Ireland, grotesque, vulgar and lacking in class.

I'd say there was some craic in SunderIreland yesterday for the All Ireland final, all the pubs were packed with locals waiting with baited breathed

no point in giving out shit to the 2 lads. 'don't shoot the messenger' and all that.

the facts are there. keane has overspent to the nth degree in an already inflated market, and if only for a couple of flukey last minute goals, they'd be 2nd from bottom.

the heat is rightly on keane.

we are merely relaying the facts and they don't make pretty reading.

Heard Keane paid 700 quid for his new labrador pup. His reputation precedes him now.

You know, i actually agree with that. the pressure is on. as it should be on any manager who's spent the amount of money keane has.

buT FFS,Management is about so much more than spending money. you also have to mould your team, get them playing a certain way etc etc. if keane fails i'm sure he'll be the first to admit it, but to suggest he's a bad manager after 4/5 games at the top level is ludicrous

if keane fails he'll probably blame it on quinn. there's no way he'd ever have the humility to own up to being a failure.

a manager is judged by the signings he's made. and so far 'keane-the premiership story' has failed badly in this respect. nobody can argue that. if it was anyone else, their job would be under threat.

Great point. Keane is forever looking for scapegoats. He did it to Mccarthy in 2002 and he'll do it to quinn in 2007. If ever a man believed his own hype it's keane.

Lamps

There's only one thing Keano likes more than a scapegoat and thats money.

Remember the book, 200 pages of blame.

His brothers for the Intercert.
Charlton.
McCarthy
Harry Ramsden.
Quinn
KingKenny.

of course they're judged on their signings. ffs. houllier has been run over the coals on this forum because of his signings to name but one. and that was by pool fans as well!!!

if you want to judge him on results, he's doing fairly shite there as well. only 4 or 5 games in is no excuse, he should have had his squad prepared well before the 'biggest season of his career'. fail to prepare etc.

did you see the look on him when saha scored on saturday? first of all you could see the bitterness in his face that his old boss managed to get one over on him. secondly, what sort of leader is he slouched in the dug out, when he should have been out on the touchline encouraging his team when they most needed a leader. but no, he could only think of himself and the ribbibg he'd get in the players lounge after the game.

Steve Coppell, Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes, Roy Keane, are all premiership managers, and all learned their trade at Old Trafford.

(Throw in Steve McLaren, Bryan Robson, and Paul Ince as other less successful examples)

Of all of them, I think that Steve Coppell would make a good successor to Sir Alex.

it won't make a difference. i can't see anything there, either in keanes attitude or the quality of players to make me think they have a chance of doing anything this season.

as i said, the look on his face after saha scored on saturday said it all. he knew it was a sign of things to come this season.
