thats short term thinking, i'm thinking long term, i want a manager who can take us places and not panic buy at the first sight of money in his career. my opinion on the man as a manager has been clear and upfront from the start, i was hoping he would go out and buy well in the transfer window, and am happy enough with bellamy and faubert, parker is ok but for me will need to prove his worth along with lundberg (sp?) and upson (as good as a summer signing for all we've seen of him), also need neill back as we were leaderless today and still need another striker, left back and left mid

Nothing to do with the fact that he has a much higher chance of success at Utd or the increase in wages or champions league football etc etc etc etc

we could match his wages nae hassle, and could have built a team around him a a la maradonna down in italy, he also said he likes west ham and their fans, i'm not saying it was his biggest factor but still, it was there

If Tevez wanted to stay then there was nothing stopping him from staying.

West Ham could have left everthing be decided in the courts IF they were sure everthing was legal and above board.

They had his registration so therefore IMO Joorabchain(sp?) shouldnt have been able to instigate the move.

That Joorabchain( again sp? ) was able to get Tevez the move just seems to confirm the belief that the whole deal was shoddy from the start.

Paul Konchesky had a rotten attitude. Curbishley made him the player he was initially but Konchesky wouldn't play in the correct position for him. His record at Charlton speaks for itself.

curbishley's record is it? if so, then you are getting mightily confused, he is a poor mans martin o'neill, he did alright with shit players, but now that he has money he's gone and panic bought like he doesn't know what to do with it and still doesn't seem to have a plan, and now an ex-player, who is from barking & a childhood west ham fan, has come out against curbs and repeated something RE:tevez that has been said twice before.

add to that, the few decent signings we have all said they signed due to the eggmans ambition, not curbs

then looking at the smaller picture, the man has a dodgy plan A and no plan B, when we were down 1-0 on saturday, matty etherington came on and played very well and we looked like getting back into the game, only for curbs to take of mccartey and move etherington, an attacking mid, to left back, bellamy to the wing and the ashton up front with the underperforming zamora, we lost all shape and the impetus and then went on to concede again.

now being a celtic fan and not minding managers who get the best out of shit players, i can understand why you like curbs (you can have him when strachan leaves) but west ham don't want middle of the road managers and now that we have the money and a chairman willing to spend, we as fans demand better.

i've a tenner at 10/1 for him to be the first prem manager sacked this season

Sure Neill is only there for the money ( no matter how many times he said Eggy's ambition lured him to the club )

Well he obviously did well if he's your captain, but that doesn't make him any better a player does it. Surely if you're going to be bigger than Man Utd & Chelsea by....2013 is it?......then you'll aspire to more than the likes of Lucas Neill.

Liam, you have an awful lot to learn. One swallow does not a summer make. Celtic are an average side in a shit league. West Ham are a shit side in a decent league. well i reckon tottenham will be one of the big 4 by then so thats not a bad thing by any means, no one thought chelsea would do well, then they got a big money backer and look what happened, they changed their manager, who attracted better players and we all know the rest.

No. You won't be in this position forever. Jesus. That's hardly rocket science.

You're a yo yo club historically. Magnusson is not a young man. He will give you a few years max. You may have gotten in a rich owner, but so have most clubs in the EPL.

oh and for the record, west ham have been in the premier league all but 2 years since its inception, and only relegated 4 times in its 112 year history (the same amount as liverpool) and you call that a yo-yo club? and you say i know nothing

Football began when the premier league began did it?

My point about Magnusson is, like united, when a club goes through a change of ownership, they stagnate for a bit during that change. Your rise, should you continue to rise, will stagnate for a season or two once Magnusson decides he can no longer watch overpaid guys getting pumped at home by the likes of Wigan or A.N.Other.
