Tevez: Move complete
Carlos Tevez has completed his move to Manchester United after the Premier League ratified the deal.

The drawn-out transfer has now been concluded after a two-year loan deal for the Argentine was cleared by the Premier League.

Tevez has moved to Old Trafford after spending last season with West Ham United and has been waiting to finalise his switch.

The champions have confirmed the striker is now an official member of the squad after training with the club this week.

"Manchester United is delighted to announce that Carlos Tevez has been registered as a member of its first-team squad by the Premier League," read a statement on the club's official website.

Derby debut

Tevez is available for selection for Sunday's opening game against Reading, although he is unlikely to feature.

Sir Alex Ferguson admitted earlier on Friday that his latest signing has been pencilled in for his debut in the local derby with City next weekend.

Prior to receiving confirmation of the deal, Ferguson said: "Even if it were to happen beforehand, it's unlikely I would use him on Sunday. He is more likely to be involved next week against Manchester City.

"He has surprised us in the training sessions last week. I thought that after having only a short holiday after the Copa America he would maybe need more training, but he looks in great shape.

:D:D:D Poor Alexi...........

That is all.

Is this the Manchester in Northern England or is it the one in Spain? Tevez will not leave West Ham for anywhere but Spain. He loves West Ham.

He was until Arsenal skipped the middle man and signed Fabianski.

I wasn't screaming it from the rooftops unlike your good self Liam. Every media report on the Tevez story was bullshit of course.

EDIT: Liam, remember a certain discussion we had about West Ham being a feeder club for the larger clubs in England?

we all make predictions that go wrong, and with the subsequent prolonged saga that went with the deal, most newspapers were wrong, saying he had already signed or he had had a medical down in argentina and this and that when no such things had happened at the time, they got the outcome right in the end, but it could just have easily gone the way of the inter deal, and what makes me laugh is how many people, including yourself, believed every word that was printed about the saga, including the contradictory stuff

yeah we're still a feeder club, sure we let NRC go last year when arsenal made an offer, as we did with harewood the season before to tottenham, and we've been robbed of all our best up and coming talent too since magnusson came!!! FFS this coming from a supporter of a team who is guaranteed CL football every year (&the money that brings) and never has to play more the 4 really competitive domestic league games every year

Who believed every word? The fact that so many separate media outlets carried the story suggested that he would be on his way to United. Some of them added in their own little "facts" like the medical etc but at the end of the day every single one of them carried the story that he was leaving. The only fool here is you if you believe that any of us believed EVERYTHING of what we read in the papers.

You ARE a feeder club. Funny how the two players you mention are playing their football elsewhere. Tell me, how many other clubs' cast offs have you signed this season. Dyer, Bellamy.....?

As for Celtic guaranteed CL football, West Ham will get more money by finishing 17th this season in the EPL than Celtic will receive from CL revenue AND SPL TV Proceeds regardless of how Celtic do in the competition.

i would wager the italian media outlets all carried the same story when he was supposed to be going to inter, in fact SSN even went as far as to say the move had been agreed before having to retract it. oh, and there were numerous occasions where i had to point out to you personally how stupid it was to believe the papers.

yeah, 2 players who were told they weren't wanted by the club, sure every club buys players that other clubs don't want as they think they can do better with the player (FFS why do i need to explain this to you?), celtic are no different, so they must be a feeder club too

sure of course, and they get more prestige by not getting into the CL this season then celtic, because they are in the prem? come off it

I must say some of your rubbish does make me laugh and has set me up nicely for going to work today, adiós

1 - I'd be interested in seeing these examples. The figures mentioned in your new captain's wages are widely reported. If you have evidence to the contrary I'm all ears. All you have got is one person's word against another.

2 - Of course Celtic are a feeder club. You need to realise that there is very little at West Ham to keep a player from wanting to move on.

3 - Who mentioned "prestige"? We're talking cold hard cash here. If Celtic don't get into the CL this season they'll be hardly mentioned in the British media. West Ham on the other hand haven't been off the front and back pages all summer. Fair play to ye, ye're going for the "no such thing as bad news" angle. A bit risqué if you ask me, but if any club can pull it off it's ye.

P.S. You're coming up on 3 and a half years in the game now aren't you? Well done!!!

The Mirror today has Wenger in for Boruc.

EDIT: Tribalfootball running with the story too. http://www.tribalfootball.c om/article.php?id=51761

If Craig Gordon goes for £9M, I'd expect at least the same for Boruc though there is rumour of a £6M clause.
