no, but he's a shoe in to go so there's no point in playing him

Is it a good or a bad thing that Mick O’Driscoll is no where to be seen? I want Quinlan to go to and I think that one of the places up for grabs is between himself and O’Driscoll.

I wouldn't have Mick O'Driscoll anywhere near an Irish 30 not to mind the 22 or 15.

Looks like it's a straight battle between Carney and Bowe for the last spot in the backs.

Hope Carney gets it, not a fan of Bowe at all.

Ditto. He was certainly at the standard in 2005/2006 but this year for a whole host of reasons, mostly outside of his control it must be said, MOD is quite simply not good enough. My reading of that squad is Quinnies is going as an emergency second row and also one from Ferris and Heaslip. Best is already on the plane. Gleeson is making up the numbers. Not a certainty for sure but that's my call

That squad is being selected to ensure a victory. If we are struggling come the 50 minute mark then expect to see all the big guns off the bench. Typical EOS really

Unless Bowe pulls 2-3 tries out of his arse and Carney is shite then it's going to be, "Bonjour M. Carney, comment vas tu?" at hotel reception...
