I have a feeling he will be a great player for us, signed a two year deal and has mentioned a few times about his future that he only wants to keep his head down and play for City for two years and see what happens then.

Shouldn't be long more now before there is a chant for him.

I told me mates the other day,
That I saw the white Pele.
Then they asked me "Who is he?"
He goes by the name of colin healy!
CHORUS:
colin healy, colin healy, he goes by the name of colin healy!
colin healy, colin healy, he goes by the name of colin healy!

What a player he is and he' not fully match fit yet. Some of the passes he played last night were unreal and yet he made it look so easy. He's definitely a class above the rest and i've got a good feeling about the rest of the season now, things are looking bright again. Someone said to me last night that a good player will always make space for himself and every time Healy got the ball he had time and space to pick out his next pass, quality. I'm not saying we'll win the league but with Healy and Farrelly, who also showed some glimpses of what he can do last night, we'll give it a good go anyway.

As for the chant, there was a ''Healy, Healy, Healy'' one last night which is simple and to the point, it'll do for a while until someone comes up with something better.

I think we have a winner. That's going to be stuck in my head now.

healys age could be of benefit to us here...it'll take a year r two playing eL before cross channel clubs take note...at that stage he will be 29 and they may not be interested....looks like healy could be here to stay...hopefully

yes yes yes...Healy looks a class above all right. City started great with some savage 4-3-3 action. O Flynn s lost his pace it seems so this new formation could work a treat.

new favourite player id say.:p

It's basically the Wayne Rooney tune adapted

Great to have Colin Finally starting for City a class act!

An enigma in a Celtic shirt to be honest. Always thought he'd make it, certainly had the physique as a young player coming through. Eventually even tested at right back by O' Neill but fell down the pecking order and had to move for his own sake. Was sorry to see him go. He always did well in an Irish shirt any time I saw him play (MoM on his debut if I remember correctly). Wanted him to break through but didn't happen for him.

Genuinely think he's a fantastic player. They say you make your own luck but if it wasn't for bad luck he'd have had no luck at all. Here's to see him shine in a City top.

Haven't been down The Cross to see him play yet but heard of a few balls he played to Roy the last night. Can't wait to see him in action!

He really was a joy to watch, some of the balls he played were unreal, yet he made it look easy. Also he gets back and defends when needed. He made a great tackle in his own box saturday night. I haven't been this excited about a new player since i saw a certain Mr. George O'Callaghan make his debut against Shels a few years ago.

He might not be as creative as GoC but he's a far better all rounder. One thing I liked about him was that he never looks rushed on the ball and more often than not plays it simple and makes space for those around him.

I think his attitude will far surpass that creativity in terms of value to be honest. I bet he wont walk out just before a champions league game either.

His attitude is spot on. In his whole career, have you ever seen him complain about the roll of the dice he's had? As I said, I think City pulled off a major coup with him. Not so sure about Farrelly, never rated him to be brutally honest but he's an ex International but I do think Colin Healy is a cracking player. He had Paul Lambert who'd won a European Cup with Dortmund, Lennon who cost £6M and Petrov who was on the top of his game standing in his way.

That's what i noticed about him the other night, he's comfortable with the ball and has no problem in holding on to it if needs be. Another thing was some of his passes went astray the other night but they were not his fault, i think some of the player's around him were surprised by how good he actually is. Also as you said he's not afraid to play the simple ball, god i can't wait to see him in action again, it's great watching a player like him he makes the game seem so easy. I've said that a few times but it's true. Colin Healy = The White Pele.

How about copying the N Ireland chant for david healy. Tis a classic.

Away in a manger,
No crib for His bed
The little Lord Jesus
Laid down His sweet head

The stars in the bright sky
Looked down where He lay
HEEE LAY,
HEEE LAY,
HEEE LAY,
HEEE LAY,
and so on.
