What are the chances of McLaren being deducted points and furthermore Alonso and Hamilton?

Will proof be needed that they actually used the stolen designs or is the fact that they had them proof enough?

McLaren may be deducted points but neither driver will Bernie said yesterday. He reckons that the drivers cant be at fault for the actions of a team member and should not be punished. However the team suffering a points deduction would harm their constructor chances which would lead to a worse garage position on the grid for next year if they were overtaken in the standings.

Personally I think Bernie wants Hamilton to win the title. The guy has the potential to be the biggest name in world sport as it is and winning the title so young will only enhance his earning power.

From the BBC:

Trudy Coughlan is alleged to have taken a 780-page Ferrari document to a photocopying shop for reproduction.

Ferrari said they would not have known about the missing documents had an employee at the shop not alerted them.
