just reading the report on the BBC and came across this

"Assurances were received in a satisfactory form from West Ham. West Ham has assured us that it has terminated the contract.

"It has also indicated that under no circumstances will it regard the contract as binding on West Ham and that it will defend any proceedings brought against West Ham seeking its enforcement."

from http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/6638219.stm

by my reading, they have basically torn up the old contract tevez had, and have signed him directly to west ham, as a west ham player, there is no 3rd party involved therefore tevez is a west ham player, like anyone else in the squad, and we will fight any attempt by MSI to challenge that. interesting twist

also, on the mascherano at liverpool, he is not liverpool's outright, he is on loan from MSI, surely that is no different to what happened at west ham?

It was reported as an 18 month loan deal initially and later that the Pool bought him outright.

Not sure which is correct.

i could be wrong but i thought it was a 3 year loan, the tevez bit is whats of most interest to me, and it does look good for us keeping him

As for Tevez, I'm sure someone will come along to take him off your hands.

hope he stays in England, if not at WHU then some other team in the Premiership. now that he has settled in he is showing his class, although the spanish teams may also sniff around, i think it was Real were linked with him a year or 2 back, 20 million euros was the price being mentioned

On the mascherano deal the League looked at the deal and said all the terms were ok before they deal was finalized

give him another season (2 if he changes club) and he will be the best striker in the prem, sure he still can't speak a word of english, imagine what he could do if he could communicate with his team-mates?

read on the beeb that it is a completely different deal to what west ham had so its ok

to be honest i think its a non issue. so what if msi had an interest in tevez....they didnt stop him playing in any games. Its a broken rule but its not as if it was a major fuckin issue to be fair...

Way to miss a point Liam.

Anyway, it doesn't matter now. Tevez was out with his new teammates last night (http://www.thisislondon.co. uk/sport/article-23395750-details/We+won%27t+dock+West +Ham+points+so+stop+ moaning%2C+says+Prem ier+League+chief/article.do) in preparation for a move to the sunny northwest.
