its called a settlement. dipso.

Chelsea have signed Nigerian youngster Jon Obi Mikel in a £16m transfer.

the headline in the article says 'transfer', and 'agreement' is used throughout

...such as in where United and Spurs reached 'agreement' over Carrick.

fuckwit.
...if you want to start the personal stuff.

...so you want £12m that United have recieved for a player 'transfer' not to be classified as transfer money in??? ...right.

I think the Obi Mikel issue presents just how deep the running sore that is ABUism on this board is.

A group of people more concerned with a club losing a game than the club they support winning one.

Utd have gained more posts since their exit than Liverpool gained in actually making the final.

Box office.

I love that manyoo fans hate him so much.
In reality, I suppose he probably cost them at least one more big cup by signing for newcastle.

Yup, I've always said that. The 1997 and 1998 teams were probably a Shearer short of a final appearance.

Just wasn't meant to be, I s'pose.

Nope

Far from it

And it's not even the genuine Liverpool fans like yourself and Philby and Homer etc who are spamming the board with an ABU obsessiveness

Ye post mainly on the team ye support

It's the sports forum idiots (SFI) and the sunshine fans

You do know that Liverpool will have to win in Athens if this bragging is to last beyond the end of the month right?

Lads this Mikel thing is getting stupid. The reason the arguement started was because of some Philby thinking us United fans shouldnt be counting £12m recieved from a player who didnt play a game for the club as clever transfer policy. It probably was'nt clever on Fergie's part but its probably Gill's best moment thus far as Chief Exec. Getting £12m for him was great considering if Chelsea didnt have an interest the fee between United & Oslo would have been minimal to say the least.

What I will say though as I've said already is that United wouldnt be attempting to spend stupid money on Hargreaves this summer & last if the deal went through for Mikel. The £20m odd could be put towards the Glazer's debt or Fergie could go out & attempt to sign a real big name player.
