liverpool game was poor. no life in it at all. liverpool were just going through the motions and psv were just plain heartless. bring on chelsea, should be a cracking tie. i fancy man u against ac milan. united will have too much for the aging stars. would love to see a liverpool v man u final.

Where did I hear that one before? Although, to be fair, we were in dire form by the time that tie came around 2 years back. Still...

United were in good form that sopruing but rushed Ruud back too quickly and couldn't get the ball in both legs

Tough game but United are more capable now

Anyone who writes off Milan is stupid though

dead right. milan are still a very dangerous side but i think utd will have too much pace going forward for milan to cope with. in relation to the chelsea v liverpool game, jose has already started the mind games. he's said that he fancies liverpool to go all the way.

First time in a while I sat down for a full CL match. Watched the whole Milan Munich match. I like the stats on how much the players have run during the game........Gatuzzo 11km when he was substituted.

I thought Pizzaro was impressive for Bayern...Hargreaves had some flashes but gave the ball away too often.

You're right, fuck sake I'm getting old before my time, I used to have a flawless memory for details one time. Yeah, we won a load of games on the bounce arround then, thumped Arsenal at Highbury, pushed Chelski all the way in the fizzy pop cup, but Chelski were on a savage run too so we made no headway. We had a 2004 style late season collapse after that though.

Not helped by Ruud doing his Andy Cole of 1995-96 impression in the run in.

Over those 2 legs Milan deserved to go through but I've often wondered since how United didnt win the home tie with the chances Scholes & Fortune missed added to what a fully fit RVN would have made of his chances at the San Siro.
