Ronnie V Ding is the obvious stand out tie. Robertson & Day is a tricky one to call as well & could well be worth a watch.
I could be wrong here but dont the winners of the 2 matches I've mentioned play each other in the 2nd round?

yep spot on,could be a very interesting opening to this years world championship.
my only worry is we could be left with muckers like ebdon dott davis in the latter stages, ideally you wouldnt mind seeing ding meeting ronnie at the business end of the tournament.
looking forward to seeing judd trump, was impressed with him at the UK Championship and should have a very good future in the game, hit a 147 while only 14.

semi final line up
Stephen Maguire v John Higgins
Shaun Murphy v Mark Selby
Great comeback by Murphy against Matthew Stevens but it's anyones title.
I'm going for Higgins v Murphy in the final.

Murphy wont have it all his own way against Selby. I've seen a bit of him over the years and his safety is worthy of a top 8 ranking but his break building let him down. Think he has gone a long way to sorting it though after seeing him knock it 5 centuries against Ebdon.

Maguire leading 3-1 with breaks of 85,102 and 79
long way to go though.
Great comeback from Selby, ...on the table now and trailing 9-12, back from 4-12 down. I'd make him favourite at this stage.
..he's becoming a bit of a comeback king.

Selby... I'd make him favourite at this stage.Heh heh heh, then I'll take whtever price you're offering Higgins and lay off at 2/5 on Betfair.

I was noticing how slow to react Betfair was, ..they had Selby at 10/3 very recently. still 13/5 is very generous.
...I'll skip your bet thanks! ...but lash on Selby if you like. I've never really gone with Betfair, just casual gambling.
..this final could rescue one of the dullest World Championships of all time.

This one could roll on to 2am, ..and then some!
I've been in the pub for the last couple of hours and not missed many frames.
14-13, ...a maximum of 8 frames to go.

Selby must be exhausted at this stage. Lads probably got about 3 hours kip a night

They over-ran timewise, and stopped early to give the players a proper break before the evening session, ...can't remember that happening before.

I was noticing how slow to react Betfair was.Betfair don't set odds, they just offer a marketplace for hundreds of thounsands of people to bet against eachother. Therefore, in a highly liquid market such as the world snooker final the odds available on Betfair are the true odds. Bookies have to lay shorter odds to guarantee themselves profit. Even casual gamblers should use betting exchanges because you're guaranteed better odds in the vast majority of markets and you can bet small if you want to.
