Cork Arts Theatre Lunchtime Theatre 2012 13th June-25th August Cork Arts Theatre Lunchtime Theatre launches Wednesday 6th June at the opening night of Cork Rep’s The Owl and The Pussycat. It’s that time of year again, the sun is out (hopefully) the bees are buzzing and things are hotting up in the Cork Arts Theatre foyer. We are excited to announce our 2012 Lunchtime Theatre Programme. Every Wednesday –Saturday (inclusive) from 13th June -25th August Cork Arts Theatre will host a lunchtime production. This year’s diverse line-up includes everything from opera, James Joyce, theatrical farce, comedy and even a talking Evangelical burger. The programme launches with the stunning voice of Amanda Neri with The Italian Job from 13th -16th June. The following week, 20th-23rd June we welcome the incredible Mary McEvoy with Alice Barry’s new show Fruitcake. We are thrilled to host a wealth of Cork talent in this year’s line up including Haulbowline Theatre Group with Sunscreen (27th-30th June), Maureen O’Byrne with a Taste of Joyce through Word and Song (4th-7th July), Nancy Long with Ceolann (11th-14th July), The Two Lauras with their new comedy Awkward Moments (18th -21st July), RSVP with the enticingly entitled Mr Fabulous (25th-28th July), Marisa O’Mahony presents a humorous look at one woman’s obsession with food, Life Gets Tasteless starring Antoinette Hilliard (1st-4th August), Rachel O’Connell (fresh from her run in Shakers Re-Stirred) and Dylan Kennedy present Geraldine Aron’s Bar and Ger (8th-11th August), Gulliver’s Travelling Theatre present the comedy The Lovers by Octave Mirbeau (15th-18th August) and Dolores Mannion directs What Could Be ( 22nd- 25th August) For only €10 per ticket we are offering lunch and a show throughout the Summer.
