Nano Nagle Place,the Goldie Chapel, Nano,douglas S
Doors 6:00 pm - Admission: 10.00
As part of the celebrations of the tercentenary of Nano Nagle's birth we are seeking to re-imagine and recreate Nano Nagle's World.
During this hour long performance Síle Ní Dhubhghaill, harpist, and Miriam Uí Dhonnabháin, a scholar of the Amhrán song/ poetry tradition, will recreate the sounds of the Nagle homes of the Blackwater valley in the early years of the 18th Century.
The Nagles lived as Gaelic gentry, sponsoring music and poetry, dispensing profuse hospitality, and patronising popular sports. During this unique performance in enchanting Goldie Chapel at Nano Nagle Place we invite you into their wold of the past.
