Firkin Crane, Shandon
Doors 6:00 pm - Admission: €14 full €12 unwaged €10 early bird

What if the starting point for a journey is refusal? Walking defines a direction but the end point is never achieved. What if the contemporary invitation is not to leave your bed and walk but to pick up your bed and walk? To take with us in our mobility an anomalous stillness; and to walk alongside our supine, horizontal and impulsive selves. Each new step a fall or a stumble, caught up, recovering, in dance.

Peregrinus means a foreigner, a stranger, someone on a journey, or a temporary resident. The award-winning Greek choreographer Zoi Dimitriou presents a performance-installation that starts out with a van heading into the unknown with audience aboard.

Zoi Dimitriouís choreographic works have garnered her the Robin Howard Foundation Award, the Bonnie Bird Choreography Fund Award, the CfC Choreography for Children Award and participation in the European network Aerowaves. She has received numerous commissions including from the Greek National Ballet Company, Sadlerís Wells, Company of Angels, The Place, Dancedigital among others, and is currently a Research Fellow at Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance.
